Introduction

As we arrive at our current sit here in Booral, it feels like the perfect moment to begin something new. From this point forward, we’ll be sharing weekly posts about the pets we care for, the homes we stay in, and the beautiful people we meet along the way. Every sit has its own story, its own rhythm, and its own little moments that make this life so special — and now, we’ll be sharing those moments as they happen.

Over the past 9 months, we’ve travelled from place to place, caring for animals of all shapes and personalities. With every sit, we’ve met amazing homeowners who have welcomed us into their homes with trust and kindness. They are the heart of this journey. Without every single one of them, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Their support, their warmth, and their pets have shaped our path more than anything else.

This new weekly series will follow us through each sit — the routines, the personalities, the funny moments, the quiet mornings, and the little things that make every place feel unique. It’s a chance to share our life on the road, one week at a time, one pet at a time.

Thank you for being part of our journey. There’s so much more to come

From the very start to now

Our very first house sit was in Dalveen, a quiet place that felt tucked away from the rush of everything. The house sat on the front part of the property, looking out over the land in a way that made mornings feel slow and peaceful.

Booral to Woody Point.

Last Sunday we said goodbye to Juno at Booral. She watched us leave with her calm little face, and as always, it was bittersweet walking away from a house sit we enjoyed so much. From there, we headed to Coolacove to visit our friends Leah, Phil, and Zeus who we have sat for previously. It was wonderful to see them again — familiar faces, warm hugs, and that easy feeling of being welcomed back. They invited us to stay the night, and it felt like a gentle pause between sits.

Booral House Sit

Morning in Booral arrives gently. Before you even step outside, the bush settles around you with its cool air and the quiet rustling of wings waking in the trees. The beaches aren’t far, but here the day begins with the soft sounds of birds stretching into the morning and the steady calm of a bush‑farm sunrise. It’s a peaceful start, the kind that makes you breathe a little slower and take in the simple beauty of the property.

The Winter Harvest.

A gentle winter afternoon by the bay, a cutting board full of citrus, and the calm rhythm of a house‑sit kitchen. This week’s Winter Harvest became something bright — our Sunshine Marmalade, a jar of warmth made right here at Woody Point.

Meet Henry

We’ve been at Woody Point for just over two weeks now, and the soothing rhythm of this place has enveloped us in a warm embrace. Mornings here unfold gently, with soft light spilling across Bramble Bay as the neighborhood gradually awakens. It’s a serene and steady atmosphere, making it easy to relax — especially with Henry by our side.
