🌿 Sit #1 — Dalveen
Our very first house sit was in Dalveen, a quiet place that felt tucked away from the rush of everything. The house sat on the front part of the property. While the back looking out over the land that made mornings feel slow and peaceful.
Out the back, the paddocks opened up wide. That’s where the goats liked to roam, wandering around the dam and keeping an eye on anything that moved. We had two goats to look after, four chooks scratching around, and one dog who quickly became our shadow. Lea loved her walks there — long, open stretches where she could sniff, explore, and settle into the rhythm of the place.
The dam was a calm spot, especially in the late afternoon when the light softened and the goats drifted closer. It was the kind of property where you felt connected to the land without even trying. Simple, quiet, and full of small moments that stayed with us.
That sit in Dalveen was where our journey really began.
On the Left.
Grant and Lea just came back from a walk around the Dam.
We walked around the Paddock, pulling out Fire weed to stop/slow down the spread. Lea would love to chase the Roo's and show us weeds that we did not see. In the Morning and afternoons Back paddock would be full of birds, Roo's and wallaby's. My Favorite spot to sit was on the back porch where you could see the whole Farm.
Above is Stormy and Meg
Stormy is the mother to Meg, Stormy is an old Girl that like her space, and loved her Kale and silver beet, apple and carrot at breakfast and dinner. Meg was sweet didn't mind a pat on her head and was food orientated and they were a Joy to take care off.
To the Left
The whole gang at Dalveen. We also love our time we had spent with the Home Owners they were great hosts who took us out to Breakfast at the Old Rail station Cafe.
